The Convention is a legal statement chosen by the Local authorities already involved in the GIADA project (LIFE00ENV/IT/000184) in order to continue their activities with the aim of carrying out and coordinate their duties and all the services related to the creation of an integrated environment management system in the Chiampo valley’s territory, aimed at obtaining an environment certification for the entire tanning district, as foreseen by the GIADA project.
The subscribing Local bodies engage to cooperate in order to guarantee, within the territory where the participating Municipalities are located, that :
• Environmental requalification and sustainable development are fully promoted within the leather tanning industrial district
• The environment certification is obtained for the entire tanning district.
